First what is adsense?  It is an advertising program developed by a company named  Oingo back in 1998.  Google purchased the rights to this proprietary application in 2001.

The main advertising source comes from Google’s adwords program.  Large and small websites pay Google to advertise on adwords.  These advertisement are placed on google’s search results.  The advertisements are primarily placed on the right hand side of all searches.

They can also been seen right on top of your search page but with a cream colored background and a “sponsored links” text up on the right hand corner.

It really was easy to profit from this money making program when it first started and thousands took advantage and cashed in big time.  Now days it is a bit more difficult however it still can be done.

Here are some simple adsense money making tips that will help increase your revenue.

The advertisements come via a small javascript code that you or your webmaster add to your website.  When a visitor clicks on one of these ads you will make money.

Not all clicks are equal.  The highest paying adsense keywords are in the casino, pharmacy, credit card and mortgage industry.  Do not add these type of pages or posts to your garden or skateboarding website.

Use google’s external keyword tool to find higher paying keywords in your niche.  Enter your website domain name or any site and click on the estimated CPC (click per cost).

You can now add your adsense Javascript to your blog, RSS feed, parked domains and video via google’s  advertising network.  Do not add images above, below or next to your adsense ads.

Develop and add more original content to your website or blog.  This is a big no brainer and the only cost is your time.  Each webpage or blog post has the ability to make money.  Remember to use higher paying keywords in your niche by using google’s external keyword tool.  By the way the tool is free to use.  Just google it.

A tightly focused narrow themed website or blog will get you better relevant ads on your site thus increasing the chances of more adsense clicks.

Add a google search box to your sites.  If a searcher does not find what they are looking for chances are they might use the search box to look for further information thus increasing click through revenue.

Visit and use google’s adsense forum.  There are many folks who will happily answer your questions. Joining this forum is free and can help you become much more adsense savvy.

Stay away from adsense ready made sites.  Use your own knowledge or outsource (pay someone) to develop good useful content.

Without website traffic you will not make any revenue with google’s adsense program.  Most online wannabe entrepreneurs get lured into thinking they can become rich overnight using this googles’s adsense application.

Remember do not click on your own ads. Do not tell anyone to click on your adsense ads.  You will get caught.

Adsense does work but it takes time, patience and lots of traffic.  SEO, article marketing, and posting good content on your blog or website are some very good traffic generating systems.
