Las Cruces New Mexico Web Design

Thanks for visiting our website

The Las Cruces, NM area is still a small city but, it is a rapidly growing one that needs the latest advertising methods. Most small business owners have no idea how, where and what is needed to get advertising via the Internet.

The other day I was looking for a good plumber in Las Cruces. Where did I go to get a phone number and address? Not the yellow pages, nor the local newspapers. I immediately went online and typed in “Las Cruces Plumbers”. Bingo…a plethora of plumbers vying for my business. Some had their own websites which gave me further information. I called the one I thought was best. Three hours later he was in my home fixing that broken pipe underneath the bathroom sink.

The old methods of advertising a small business such as newspapers, radio, and other older type mediums are not a viable ROI source as they were once. Advertising online is now the BIG thing. What better way to find what you are looking for than to turn on your PC and search for say…Mexican restaurants in Las Cruces. Of course you will find hundreds of listings and the usual top chain restaurants but it is surprising that many of the mid to smaller restaurants do not have their own website.

It really is amazing because the cost of having a website is really small.   The biggest cost is actually web design.  Most web designers in the Las Cruces community do excellent work but rarely do they give the small business owner what they really want: Local Website Traffic. The bottom line is getting more in-store customers.

Getting listed on top of the search engines for local traffic is a-lot easier than National or World wide traffic.  Any good SEO specialists can help you achieve this…but,  it is rare that the SEO person and or web-designer have experience in both.

We at GoodContentWebsites.com can give you good local search engine traffic along with excellent web design.  And, the best part is it will cost less than you think.

Does your website suck

Posted by guzie on August 9, 2010 under General Interest | Be the First to Comment

5 big reasons why your website sucks.

  1. Are you giving your visitors what they want? Yea…give them what they are looking for. This is pretty simple and it should be. Giving your site visitors information that is relevant to their needs is what you should be giving them.  Remember it’s about them NOT you.
  2. Do you have un-relevant information on your site?  Are you promoting pink ribbons to hard-core bikers?  This might be a bit extreme but I’ve seen lots of blogs and websites that do this exact same thing.
  3. Do you use pop-ups, pup-unders, pop-outs and scripts that make your visitors wonder “how do I get the hell out of here?”  This may work for some IM niches but for most informational type websites it is a complete turn off.   Some pop-ups do work for the Internet Marketing Niche but should be done carefully.
  4. Are you promoting stuff that may be considered black hat, scammy, unethical, or a complete rip-off?  If so…stop it now, today, before your visitors label you as a “scam artists”.
  5. Do you use way too many large graphics and videos that take forever to load?  Flash Graphics and videos do have there place online but these should complement text and “click here for non flash graphics” links.

Websites that don’t suck

The Internet is still basically a text based medium but, video and other graphic programs are rising quickly.   For now stick to what works, good content, no scam products and give your website visitors the best possible content that you can give them.

I’d love to hear what your thoughts are on this.

Internet Marketing and Emmitt Smith

What the heck does IM and Emmit Smith have in common.  As Internet Marketers we could learn a-lot from Emmit Smith.  He is in my humble opinion the best running back ever to play the game.

Oh…there are others who were bigger, faster and much flashier.  But, his inspirational story to become a Hall of Fame inductee is what we should look at.   With all his high school and college football accolades, Smith wasn’t drafted until the 17th pick of the first round in the 1990 NFL Draft. He was eventually drafted by the Dallas Cowboys.

He was considered too small and not fast enough for the NFL. I am sure these negative remarks by some of the football sport writers fueled his desire to become the best that he could possibly.

Internet Marketing and Emmitt Smith

Anyone who desires to become successful at whatever business field you might be into should become inspired by what he has accomplished. His deep desire to overcome obstacles are what make him great and he still carries this into his business life.

I am sure he wanted to show not only his family but the world that he would someday become the best. As Internet Marketers we could all learn a lesson from him.

From what I have read he managed to stay away from the mischievous ways of being a nationally known football star. Way too many promising athletes have fallen from grace due to the lure of money, fame and Hollywood stardom.

Good Original Content for your blog

Good Original Content For your Blog

What and why should we use good content for our websites? You and I both know it is pretty crazy out there in the “World Wide Web”. Scam and rip-off artist in just about any site you visit, including social sites. Facebook and other like type sites are also doing their best to keep the riff-raff out of their sites. But, it’s almost a losing battle.

<h2>Who needs good website content</h2>

I do and so do you.  Yes…when I am looking for something that will help me cure my gout (yes I have it) or my soon to be bald head – almost there, I want answers.  The last thing I want to find is some site full of b.s. crap that has nothing but ads, or re-hased content about the same thing over and over again.

I really do not like PLR articles or sites that give you the option of re-writing it again…probably been re-wrote by several other people before it gets to you.

So where does someone get good original content.  I will tell you right now! You get it from your own research, experiences, life, and from all the education you have gathered since you were brought into this world.

This is what works man…it really does.  Tell me your story, how did you overcome an illness, physical or mental disability.  Everyone has gone through some hardships and somehow overcame seemingly concrete obstacles.

Going through hard times whether monetary or physical is always a good story.  Publishing it on your blog or a web-page can and does help me and others who would like to know how to avoid or overcome such hard times.

Tell us by writing your own good original content.

Best Web Hosting Services Online

Posted by guzie on under General Interest | Be the First to Comment

Thousands if not millions of web-hosting services are looking for more customers. I’ve had more than my fair share of “yelling expletives at my computer” about why this or that does not work work.

Best Web Hosting Services Online

Have you ever had web-hosting problems? Trying to figure out why PHP, forums, or simple HTML errors weren’t working on my website used to be a daily thing. I have found a web site hosting services that finally gave me peace of mind.

Things are much simpler and easier than they used to be. Many services now have coupons for automatic discounts, free templates to use, 24 hour 7 days a week online support. Dedicated servers for those who have tons of traffic.

This is good news for the online newbie marketer. You know have a long list of web hosting services that are looking to get your business. I’ve personally been doing online marketing for about seven years now. When I first started I used free web hosting services and this was a big mistake. I also used some very poor online services including website hosting. I have learned through experience that you need real people to help with your website hosting.

Nothing is perfect in this world and this is so true in the world wide web. Eventually someone will have a problem that no technical person can fix online. No one entity is perfect except for GOD. You can only do thorough research in your quest for the best service online.

What to look for in Web Hosting Support

Web Hosting Support: Does your webhosting company have shoddy online support? The best will always have 24 hr. 7 days a week support including live chat. When you have a hosting problem you want support now…not tomorrow morning but “right now”.

Phone Support: If your online internet service goes offline for whatever reason…can you call support via phone. They must have National 800 number and local free phone support service.

Cpanel: Do they have cpanel where you can add emails accounts, control spam email, add subdomain, ad on domain names, mysql databases and forums.

Stats: Statistical information…you’ve got to see who, where and why your visitors are visiting. This is a BIG deal for those who want to get better SEO and continue promoting their websites or blogs.

Fantastico: This has nothing to do with what your girl or wife calls you. It is a system that helps you install many scripts such as forums, wordpress blogs, surveys, classifieds, polls, and many more scripts that some website developers charge big bucks for.

Templates: Website templates to use for building your own website without the cost of graphic designers. These should be free and easily available for your online use.

I hope this answers some of the questions you might have about web-hosting services.

Best Web-hosting services.

How to make money online now

Posted by guzie on July 19, 2010 under General Interest | Read the First Comment

Good question! How do new online marketing newbies make money online right now or at least quickly? And without forking out big bucks or your credit card?

There are numerous legitimate ways to make a part time income RIGHT now.

Making Money Online Now

You can write articles on ehow.com for some good cash. It doesn’t take a real genius to write an article about what you know. It is amazing how simple it is to make money on ehow. You write about what you know or what your life stories. Take the Mexican Recipe Niche…millions of Hispanic women can cook great Mexican food. It only takes a computer with a word processor to write a very detailed recipe about “Huevos Rancheros”…I’ve yet to see a good online recipe on how this is done.

What about the knitting blankets niche? Can grandma write how she does this? Sure she can just write each step on your word processor or do it the old fashioned way…Pen and paper.

Go to ehow and create your accout. It’s free to join and the more you write about your niche the more money you make. You do not need a website or blog. Just use your little ole brain to tell the online world what your interest are. Jeez…how much more simpler can it get.

Will make thousands over night?

I don’t think so but you can make a nice second income by writing and posting articles.

Ehow will send you a check once you reach your threshold usually around 10 bucks.  You can also have it deposited into your paypal account if you have one.  Otherwise it is delivered via postal mail.

Making Money online with hupages and squidoo

Another good way to make some income is by basically the same thing as ehow but instead you do it at squidoo.com and hubpages.com the process takes a little longer but the more lenses (squidoo.com) or hubs (hubpages.com) you make the more money you make online.

This is really easy and is in no way scammy, spammy, or rip-off crap that so many online Marketers try to shove down your throat.

Hire Good Copywriters for Money Making Articles

Don’t like to write or don’t have enough time.  Hire someone to write a 300 400 page article.  Today there are hundreds of places to submit your article request.  The best part about paying someone is that it is usually high quality stuff.  Once you have your article it is solely yours.  Submit it to the above places for free.  You will see an increase of visitors and of course revenue.

Good copywriters know exactly what needs to be said. They can make an article or post sparkle, sizzle, or make it insanely irresistible.

Here are a few places to look for quality articles:

3 things google wants from your blog or

Posted by guzie on under General Interest | Be the First to Comment

What in the world is Google up to these days? What does it really want from us (bloggers, websites, Web 2.0 etc…)? There is so much garbage floating around concerning googles algorithmn and what kind of content, seo, and links we all should be doing.

Organic Search listings still outperform any type of pay per click campaign.

Three things google wants.
Google is like a giant whale devouring everything it can get it’s mouth into. And it spits out millions of b.s. crappy no nonsense information every time it does it’s dance.

This search engine does it’s best to give searchers what they want. But scammers, spammers, and rip-off marketers do their best to ruin it for most of us who are doing our best to add good information to satisfy google.

Reason Number one Good Original Content:

In my humble opinion this is what the google gods want. Good Original Content…is my number one goal. You too should be doing your best to add good content on blogs, websites or social media sites.

Reason Number Two Quality Inbound Links:
Generating good quality links to your site is also a big factor when it comes to content. Both of these options go hand in hand. Yes good content will generate honest comments on your blog and visitors tell others about our site. Obviously auto-generated link building schemes are a waste of time and money.

Commenting in other like minded do follow blog posts does work well.

Reason number Three Generating blog or website activity:
Google wants to know if you are serious about your online business blog or site. A stale site puts up a red flag to google indicating no activity no sense in giving this site any ranking. So…it stands to reason the more often you post good content (but not too often) the better your ranking will be.

Please tell me what your thoughts on this subject are.

Promoting a new website or blog

Posted by guzie on July 9, 2010 under General Interest | Read the First Comment

Easy ways to promote a new website.

Do your own SEO or pay a search engine optimization business to do it for you.  Doing your own SEO is of course free but it is best to seek and research folks who have been through the same road.  Choosing the latter will require some research and money.

SEO companies that work

Always look for SEO companies that have been around more than 7 years.  If it’s been around that long it is probably legitimate and a viable way to get expert SEO advice.  Use the “way back machine” to checkout any site that you are unsure of. Just goolge it.

How to promote your sites

Use Social Networking Websites to get exposure and promote your own affiliate program or other opportunities.  The top social websites are Facebook, Myspace, Bebo and Friendster there are others but these 4 can really help with backlinks.  Joining these sites will garner you friends but the most important thing is to contribute, correspond and come across lively! Remember to update daily with your own posts, you need to find new friends in your market that want to befriend you, and you need these interested friends to send you friends of theirs!

This can become more viral than a tuff virus during the winter season.

Submit your site to the top site directories

Submit your site to directories…not just any directory but to directory sites that are relevant to your niche.  But, beware there are numerous rip-off directory submission services where you have to use your hard earned money to submit your site to thousands of directories.  Most of these sites are garbage.  You can submit your sites yourself.  Here is a big list of directories that have tons of directories.  It is important to note that many are paid inclusion and many are free. Free Site Directories

Article marketing for self promotion.

One of my favorite ways to promote my gardening niche site is to write articles and submit them to the top article directories.  It is pretty simple I write articles about gardening and I get a backlink from the directory specifically ezinearticles.com and other garden enthusiasts that are interested in what I have written.  Learn how to write articles that will help your online marketing efforts right here…Article Domination

There are hundreds of ways to promote your website it takes a lots of patience, research, and the ability to sift out the bullshit from the good stuff.

Monetize your site with affiliate networks

Posted by guzie on June 22, 2010 under General Interest | Be the First to Comment

Money With Affiliate Networks

A really good way to monetize your website is to join affiliate networks and apply for products that are in your niche. Once you join you are considered a publisher or an advertiser.  It will depend on which CPA (Cost Per Action) network you apply to.  But you will be advertising advertiser’s products.  The most common question is “do I need my own product”?  The answer is no.  To put it simply “you will be promoting other people’s stuff“.

How is this done you ask? You will need to add links to your website or blog in the hopes that folks will click on your advertiser’s products. If they like what they see they will make a purchase. This is very simple but it works and of course you will not get rich overnight!

Hopefully you have purchased the product or used the service yourself…doing so will give you a better understanding on whether it works or not. You will now be able to tell your potential customers why you are promoting the product.

Making money without a website

Without a website you will have to find other means of driving traffic to your advertiser’s products. This can be done by posting to classified ads, joining traffic exchanges and purchasing top advertising spots in ezine or newsletters PPC (pay per click) or using PPV (pay per view). These methods work but require much more time and effort not to mention money.

How to get traffic so folks will purchase stuff

The easiest way to get website traffic is learn about article marketing. You bascially write articles about your subject and submit them to the top article directories. This form of marketing works very well but there is a big learning curve. Learn more about article writing right here – Getting Free Website Traffic With Articles.

What you really need is traffic that will convert into buying customers.  So what it the big secret to converting website visitors into buying customers?  I will tell you right now…There is no secret only “Good Content”.
