Organic Search Engine Optimization

organic search optimization Organic Search Engine Optimization

What is organic search engine optimization? It is simply traffic that comes from search engines without any cost whatsoever.   This can be done by optimizing your blog or site with keywords that your visitors are using to search for whatever they need.

If your site or blog has what they need then…whamo you’ve probably got a sale, subscriber or someone who will ask for further information. Organic traffic will always out perform any type of paid traffic.

The conversions and the visitors are much more likely to purchase  something from an organic listing than a paid one.

Organic Search Engine Traffic

There are two big reasons why this is so.

  1. Most casual surfers will see the first page and will click on the top 10 or so sites listed.  Most surfers have no idea that the side bar is for paid advertising.
  2. Your website or blog listing will always be there.  Unless your doing something illegal or managed to get your site banned for whatever reason.   The more often they see it there the more they consider your site legitimate.

We all started with organic traffic.  Do you remember when you first submitted your website or blog to google, yahoo or DMOZ?  Your pages or posts are still there and will be there until…the end of time?

Of course having a permanent listing does not guarantee lots of traffic or even any visitors.  This is why most Internet Marketing professionals started to do more organic search engine optimization for all their sites.

Now we can get better results from doing our homework such as keyword research and site optimization.

So we now move up the ladder.  The results are better but once again like a wild animal looking for food we start looking for better results.

Enter article writing this method is more organic than any other traffic source out there.   You write an article and submit them to the top article directories and viola! You’ve got a backlink and depending on how good and useful your articles are you get traffic.

No credit card to give out nor any money transferred out of your big fat bank account.  The only thing you invested is time and some brain power to shoot out an article.

If you submitted your article to the top professional article directories it will be there today, tomorrow or until the directory ceases to exists.  I started writing articles about my gardening site 5 years ago.  Many of these articles are still giving me traffic to the site.

Compare this to any PPC,  Pay for traffic service or even the latest “Facebook is better than google for paid advertising ebooks” that are over populating my and your email folder!

Once you stop paying for this traffic it stops, it’s over no one will see it again.  Organic Search Engine Optimization is like printing your own free money.

There are many other ways to do organic traffic such as press releases, podcasts, and marketing videos.

Most should know by now that in order to put this type of marketing to good use is to always develop and provide good content.

How to make a profitable blog by being yourself

paulguzman How to make a profitable blog by being yourselfBe yourself and profit.

How to be yourself online?  This is one question that I mull over in my head over and over again. How do these professional bloggers do it?  Where do they get their inspiration, energy and most of all the time to post almost daily about their “How I got rich Blogging” articles or posts.

Professional Internet Marketing bloggers make it seem really easy.  They can whip out a good post faster than a bullet coming out of a gun barrel.  I scratch my head in amazement.  I read their posts all the time and many are just ordinary folks working from home and profiting big time just by doing what they love to do.

I know what might be going through that puzzling brain of yours…”How can I do that”?  I too have some big issues twirling around inside my head as to what makes a good blogger and a bad one.

Is it education?  Naw…many sound like they had a hard time completing High School.  Maybe just downright smartness.  Another big no.  They aren’t  smarter than most other online marketer’s.

Could it be luck? Oh yea they definitely have luck.  But they brought it  on themselves by being themselves.   Being yourself online is the real key to online success whether it is a website, blog or any opportunity you are pursuing.

I now know it will take time for my own blog to bring in the same kind of success other professionals bloggers have.   I follow bloggers such as Darren Rowse, Rich Schefren and other new and upcoming bloggers.

The one constant theme besides the great content is their ability to blog without copying others.  I only hope someday I can do the same.

Copying and posting re-hashed versions of the same article, posts or even PLR using article spinners only waters down the whole online marketing world.

Free Keyword Research Tools

research tool Free Keyword Research Tools

Researching your keywords for website traffic or getting top search engine rankings is very important.

This can catapult you from mediocre search engines results to getting ranked in the first page for  most of your keywords.

So where does someone go to find free keyword research tools? Here are my top two tools to use for this purpose.

How to do Keyword Research Free

The numero one free keyword search tool is  google’s external keyword tool.  Google’s external keyword tool team has been working overtime figuring out what people are really looking for.

It is no surprise that it is now better than lots of other overly priced keyword tools.  You do not need an adwords account to use it, matter of fact this is what most of the top Internet Marketers use for their own marketing purposes including myself.

I have hundreds of niche web pages that rank high just by using this tool alone.  You can even download your keywords and save them later for further research.

Another free tool is Keyword Country.   After trying a lot of keyword research tools in the market, I came across Keyword Country… and it works better than a fish swimming in water.

Their free version works better than other paid research tools.  Using Keyword Country and google’s external tool together can get you more traffic than a busy L.A. interstate freeway.

Keyword Country connects to major search engines for keyword research (including Google, Yahoo, MSN, ASK) and also connects to the industry by performing a deep analysis of competitor websites. It also finds all the niche keywords your industry happens to be concentrating on.

Typing your keyword at Keyword Country will fetch you a huge list of keywords, these are sorted out and will give a list of words that will yield profitable keywords.  Wow…niche keywords that will make you money.

These are my top two keyword research tools.  There are many other but the ones mentioned here work extremely well and your traffic and google rank will spiral upwards if you use them accordingly.

How does someone write good content on a blog

Posted by guzie on February 3, 2010 under General Interest | Be the First to Comment

The answer to that question is easy.  Writing good content for your blog should come naturally.  The important thing to remember is that you are not writing for a class paper nor are you going to show this to your 9th grade grammar school teacher.

It is important to have good grammar and spelling skills but what is really high on the list is good original content or at least content that you are familiar with.

Those in the professional fields such as Physicians, Lawyers, Engineers and Professors will have excellent writing skills unless they cheated there way through college.

It is very easy for these type of upper class professionals to write about their career.   A wordpress blog would be an ideal way for them to express their thoughts to other like minded individuals.

Writing good content for middle class folks might come a little harder but the ideal is still basically the same.   You write and post your own thoughts about what you know.

Starting a blog and writing good content does require good research and knowing what it takes to do it correctly is time consuming.  But the first step is really easy.

  1. Find your niche.
  2. Purchase a domain name.
  3. Get good Web hosting.
  4. Start posting your thoughts on your word press blog.

These are the steps needed to start your own blog. Monetizing, SEO and adding other links will eventually come.

Use your own voice and always write good content that will help or make your visitors want to continue reading your posts.

These steps are pretty simple and does not require much money or time but it does take your own desire and discipline to become successful at it.

Evergreen online business

Posted by guzie on February 1, 2010 under Internet Marketing | Be the First to Comment

What is an evergreen online business?  In the horticulture or retail garden business it means “something that will last all year long” or “In the years to come”.   Evergreen trees, shrubs or plants that you can use to have landscaping interests all the time.

So what does this have to do with an evergreen online business? Plenty,  thousands of online businesses come and go search engines continuously change methods and money making programs come and go faster than a bullet going through pork fat.

Internet Marketing guru’s are always looking for the next big “money making model”.  Once they find it they work it better than a pole dancer at the nearest college bar.

So how does someone really start and maintain a good professional online evergreen business?  You research, and find what Internet surfers really want.  Once you have that in your brain you start to develop a blog, website or online opportunity that will quench this need.

Most online marketers are looking for the fast buck and never realize that their own knowledge might do the trick.  Maybe they were an offline broker, car salesman, insurance agent or a refrigerator repairman.  Folks are always looking and asking for advice on  how to fix, repair or find cheaper auto or repairing service.

Yes, developing a website or blog about fixing your own fridge may not garner your thousands of bucks in 2-3 months but if you do the right research it can bring you a substantial income.

This type of marketing is and can become a very lucrative “Evergreen Online Business”.
