The numero one free keyword search tool is  google’s external keyword tool.  Google’s external keyword tool team has been working overtime figuring out what people are really looking for.

It is no surprise that it is now better than lots of other overly priced keyword tools.  You do not need an adwords account to use it, matter of fact this is what most of the top Internet Marketers use for their own marketing purposes including myself.

I have hundreds of niche web pages that rank high just by using this tool alone.  You can even download your keywords and save them later for further research.

Another free tool is Keyword Country.   After trying a lot of keyword research tools in the market, I came across Keyword Country… and it works better than a fish swimming in water.

Their free version works better than other paid research tools.  Using Keyword Country and google’s external tool together can get you more traffic than a busy L.A. interstate freeway.

Keyword Country connects to major search engines for keyword research (including Google, Yahoo, MSN, ASK) and also connects to the industry by performing a deep analysis of competitor websites. It also finds all the niche keywords your industry happens to be concentrating on.

Typing your keyword at Keyword Country will fetch you a huge list of keywords, these are sorted out and will give a list of words that will yield profitable keywords.  Wow…niche keywords that will make you money.

These are my top two keyword research tools.  There are many other but the ones mentioned here work extremely well and your traffic and google rank will spiral upwards if you use them accordingly.

The answer to that question is easy.  Writing good content for your blog should come naturally.  The important thing to remember is that you are not writing for a class paper nor are you going to show this to your 9th grade grammar school teacher.

It is important to have good grammar and spelling skills but what is really high on the list is good original content or at least content that you are familiar with.

Those in the professional fields such as Physicians, Lawyers, Engineers and Professors will have excellent writing skills unless they cheated there way through college.

It is very easy for these type of upper class professionals to write about their career.   A wordpress blog would be an ideal way for them to express their thoughts to other like minded individuals.

Writing good content for middle class folks might come a little harder but the ideal is still basically the same.   You write and post your own thoughts about what you know.

Starting a blog and writing good content does require good research and knowing what it takes to do it correctly is time consuming.  But the first step is really easy.

1. Find your niche.
2. Purchase a domain name.
3. Get good Web hosting.
4. Start posting your thoughts on your word press blog.

These are the steps needed to start your own blog. Monetizing, SEO and adding other links will eventually come.

Use your own voice and always write good content that will help or make your visitors want to continue reading your posts.

These steps are pretty simple and does not require much money or time but it does take your own desire and discipline to become successful at it.

Building Self Confidence

How does someone build self confidence? Where does it come from?  How can we get it and keep it?  These are the questions most internet marketers folks with have.

Self confidence does not come easily matter of fact sometimes it is downright almost impossible considering the amount of b.s. you go throughout your life.  Abusive parents and siblings, even friends who think they are doing you a favor by constantly pointing out your faults.  Friends and family members are will always tell you “You can’t do it” or “It’s way too complicated” and of course the most infamous quote that seems to always creep into your mind “what if nobody likes it”?

There are many reasons why people can’t acquire self confidence and one of the biggest reasons is “fear”.  It could be fear of giving a speech, starting a website or blog, a big presentation, self doubt or just plain online failure.

Failure is one of the biggest concerns among Internet Marketers.  But without failure you will never acquire the confidence to become successful.  So what are ways to develop self confidence?

Here are my guidelines to building self confidence in the Internet Marketing World.

• With each failure you will get closer to success.  What’s great about online marketing it that no one can really see you.  This makes the embarrassment level almost non-existent.  If you’ve can’t seem to find success start over. Start a new website or blog the old failure site or blog will just fade away.  But remember to apply what you learned from the previous venture.
• Find someone who has been through it.  These folks were at some point in their life self-doubting.  Ask them how they did it.  You can find thousands of forums, blogs and websites that have a large reader base where you can ask your questions.
• Do not be afraid to ask questions.  The more knowledgeable about your subject matter the more confident you become.
• Always be yourself. Express your own thoughts write with passion and do not become overly concerned about what other folks say.
• You need to stand out from the crowd.  It takes a little more work and research to make people notice you.  Standing in the background or never developing your own voice is not conducive to building your own self-confidence.

How to start a website

You have started a website but would like to know how to make online sales? Here is my standard answer do not become a salesman!  Offline I am a “Salesman” but the number one reason I make a living selling stuff is trying not to sell anyone anything.

You might be saying what the hell is this guy talking about?  The only thing you should do is ask folks if they need help.  If you don’t have the answer your chances of getting a sale are minimal.

You should never, ever tell them this is what you need or purchase this and you will get exactly what you want.  The last thing you want is to become a hard-ass high pressure salesman.

What does work is to know your products inside and out.   The majority of customers want the answer to their problem.  How can I look better?  Which products are right for me?  Will this really work?  If you know your product you can answer these questions and bam you’ve got the sale.  It does not matter if it is a tangible, digital, e-book or service it basically works the same.

So now…how does this translate into making sales online?  Easy you write useful unique content about your products.  It could be about an affiliate product but it is important that you yourself have bought and used it.   Otherwise you will not be able to tell others why it worked.

One of the challenges that people have when starting a new online business is getting traffic to their website.   Without traffic you will not be able to make sales online.

How to make online sales tips below.

1. Write great useful unique content on your website. The best way to write is to be your self.  Search engine robots will crawl all websites on a frequent basis.  I would say about 2-3 times per week.  This is the pattern I get on my own websites.  These search engine crawlers are looking for sites with fresh and new content. It is therefore important for you to have fresh and high quality content which will get your website quickly indexed by search engines.
2. It is important that you have you relevant keywords and phrases that relate to your topic on your web pages.   Write naturally about your products or service.  Use your keywords in the title tag and sparingly throughout the page.  This will increase your website ranking.  You will therefore get many visitors coming to your site via the search engines. When people visit your website, the high quality content you have will make people spend more time on your site and ultimately buy some of the products or services you offer on your site.
3. The only search engines you need to submit to are Google, Yahoo and MSN (now Bing). Submitting your URL to the search engines is an important step towards getting more visitors because it means your website will be visible from search engines. Having your website URL on search engines means that when people look for information relating to your topic on these search engines, they will find your website.
4. You need lots of good back links and one of the best ways is to ask or email other websites owners in your niche that at least a page rank of 1 or higher.  Exchanging links with popular and related websites is an effective way to drive traffic to your website, and improve the raking of your site. You will get some traffic coming to your website through other websites that you have linked to.

Remember to do your best to not sell anything online.  But by writing and developing useful content that your website visitor wants you will soon realize that people will visit and stay a whole lot longer.  The chances are also great that they will tell others about your great content.  Making sales online is really easy if you follow these steps and you will soon see an increase in traffic to your website which will mean a lot of sales and online profits for your internet business!

I know what you want? It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know what you are looking for!  I myself would like more of it.  Almost all business websites or blogs want it more than money itself. Without it…our writing and the existence of blogs or social interaction would be non-existent.

So how does the average Joe compete with this type of person? Getting your own website traffic is not really as hard as most make it to be.  It is actually easy.

Do not pay any service to submit your website or blog to the search engines.  Your website will eventually get crawled just by having it hosted by your hosting service. 

Make your website or blog interesting or even controversial but be sure to write good thought provoking content.

It is best to do keyword research.  Trying to get top ranking for the keyword “marketing” will become an endless effort. But doing the same thing with “marketing your niche website online” is very possible. 

Getting your website traffic does take time and effort.  There is a big learning curve if you are new at traffic generation it is important to get the right type of information.  I’ve been doing this since 2002 and I am still learning.  Things will always change and getting traffic to your websites today was a lot different than in 02.

Writing for the Internet is a whole new procedure. This is how most Internet newbies and advanced marketers get started.

The simple reason is that the cost is almost nothing and the benefits are huge. Compared to the offline world this is almost to good to be true.

Thousands of folks are wondering what they should do to get their message out before the masses. It’s downright crazy what some people do to get noticed and the amount of b.s. the Internet Guru’s try to shove down your throat is appalling.  You really do not need 90% of what they try to sell you.

Just like in real life folks tend to overdo things sometimes beyond what most normal folks do. I get giddy with enjoyment when folks do it the right way.

This is usually the exception rather than the rule. Article marketing is an effective way to get your business or website/blog noticed by folks who want and need your product or services.

But before you start writing articles and submitting them all over the place there are a few pointers to use before you do just that.

Be sure that you write good useful articles that will benefit others or get article editors to notice your writing. It is not necessary or important to write like an english major or a Copywriting expert but what you do need is good grammar and English. This is especially true for those who write niche content.

• Be sure you do good keyword research before submitting your article. But do not stuff your article with keywords you think will be used for better search engine rankings or better click thru rates.
• The better-quality and more useful your article the more likely it will be accepted by article editors and most importantly your visitors and prospects.

They will want to know more and possibly become much more active in your own quest for subscribers or new associates.
Article Marketing does work and for those who are on a tight or medium budget it will become a frequent technique that works better than a magician waving a wand over his sexy looking assistant.

Free Website or Blog Traffic With Article Marketing

Affiliate marketing lessons.

Thousands upon thousands of folks who would love to become successful online by selling other peoples stuff.  You and I have downloaded thousands of e-books, and continue reading books, blogs and websites that do there best to influence you into buying products to help with your online efforts.

You can make a decent part time or full time living by becoming an affiliate marketer, whether you start your own affiliate program or sell someone else’s affiliate products.  But how does the inexperienced newbie, or intermediate person really become successful at doing something they have never done or have very little experience at.

How do people start learning this affiliate marketing thing? Do people really make money online by selling other people’s stuff.  Why is it so difficult to profit and why are their so many Guru’s pitching the same thing over and over again. 

Learning affiliate marketing is like anything else.  It takes time, patience and a big willingness to accept the fact that you will fail.  Yes YOU will fail!  But and this is a big but…this will become your inspiration to succeed.  Let me tell you a quick story about my sport playing days. 

Please bear with me.  I so desperately wanted to become a softball player.  I had no talent zero, zilch, nada.  I tried to join several teams but no one wanted me.  I failed miserably and team after team dropped me from their roster like a wet paper bag full of potatoes.

Could not throw, run nor hit.  I knew deep in my heart that I was awful…just plain no good.  But the desire to be a good player was embedded deep into my soul, heart and mind. 

Just tolerate me awhile longer and you will see my affiliate marketing analogy.

I could have quit or turned to something less demanding.  Maybe I could do tiddly winks, horse shoes, maybe jogging, nope.  I wanted to become a good solid softball player and nothing was going to stop me.

I started reading softball books at the local library (no internet in 1974).  I went to several free coaching lessons at our University.  I bought numerous books on how to gain bat speed, strengthen exercises for power.  I read books about stretching and using lighter weights for sprinters.  I studied and practiced religiously almost to the point of madness.

I also went to several college and inter-city-leagues games and studied the best players. I studied their every move how they so effortlessly ran, caught, and hit the long ball.  I asked questions and did my best to get good useful advice.

It took more than several years to become that good solid all around player that I wanted to become.  Other teams noticed and it didn’t take long till I was listed on their roster.  It felt good to accomplish something I knew would happen.

Most folks have to learn and train to become proficient at what they want.  It does not happen overnight.  There are some people who have God-given talent but they too have to keep analyzing and keep current of the latest techniques in what ever niche, sport or trade that will keep them at the pinnacle of their profession.

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out what the analogy between my sports venture and affiliate marketing are.  Stop fiddling around and make the right choices.  Read, research, ask questions, and become active with your own online social interaction.  You will find a lot of good people willing to help you with your own online success.

Why do we need it? What is the big secret to using content that will benefit others?  Where and why do I or you need it?  And more importantly does anyone really care?

Is this what is it’s all about?  I don’t think so.  What really matters is content yes…what do you have that will benefit others?  Is it the same old stuff? 

Maybe just maybe you will present us with something that I and the Internet community can truly benefit from.  Could be health, looks, environment, social, spiritual or anything that will make me say “this is what I am looking for”.     You will profit and continue to become successful by writing and presenting good useful content.

How to find your niche.  But first what is a “Niche”.  It could be crevice in the wall or a concave enclosure.  What we really want is an “Internet Marketing Niche”.

My marketing Niche is gardening and my sub niche is Southwestern Gardening.  If you type Southwestern gardening, trees, shrubs or many other keywords pertaining to gardening in the southwest you will find my blog posts or my gardening retail store website

My point is that you too need to find your niche.  What is it that you love to do.  Once you find out what you really like to do you apply your knowledge or expertise into this market.  This is also called a group of folks who you can market to. 

Everyone knows something about something.  Even your grandma can knit bankets.  She can now make her own blog about knitting and it is very possible for her to profit by teaching others what she does.  Pretty simple and basic.  This is what all bloggers should be doing.

Some folks think they cannot profit with their less known sub niche such as “knitting baby shoes”.  But this is nonsense…there are millions of folks who want to know how to do just that.

It is important to do research before you actually start blogging or deciding if this is what you really want to do.  There are thousands of  sub-niche blogs that do very well. 

One of the best research websites to is at google trends.    You do not need much more than that.
